Article by — Helene, Paris elopement planner, helping brides since 2012

Everything about peonies because it is not that simple.

PEONY FLOWERING SEASON

We are creating a whole article about peonies for two simple reasons:

1) Peony is a popular flower, desired by many brides

2) And at the same time, peony is available for a very short time, about 2-3 months a year

We receive many requests for peony bouquets, but the problem is that peonies are seasonal. And every time it is heartbreaking for a bride to realize some weeks before the wedding that we can not get a peony bouquet. We are crea
ting this guide to set realistic expectations.

A seasonal flower is one that grows and flowers in a particular season.

From some of our clients, we heard that in US and Canada, peonies are in season during the early Autumn months. But in Paris, peony season is from mid-April to mid-June.

For such a popular flower it is an unfortunately short blooming season.

We can get peonies only from mid-April to mid-June. Outside of that timeframe, there is no chance of having them.

TYPES OF PEONIES

If your elopement is planned from mid-April to mid-June, there are 3 types of peonies available: pink peonies, white peonies, red peonies.
