KATHERINE AND DANIEL,
TRAVEL LOVERS
Katherine and Daniel are a couple from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania who have decided to elope and get married in Paris on March 2023. They were looking for a modern, sexy, romantic, and elegant wedding that captures the essence of Parisian culture and architecture. It was their first trip to France.
Katherine sent us a message: "We wanted something more intimate with just the two of us and the ability to travel right after eloping. We originally wanted a big, traditional wedding but decided to go this route instead! It was not our original plan but the more we looked into eloping, the more we loved the idea and felt it was right for us".
Katherine contacted us on December 2022, so we had almost 3,5 months to plan this elopement.
CHALLENGE
Katherine wanted a very specific photography and elopement style: "We would describe our overall feel as modern and casual, but also romantic. We love more candid and action photography, rather than traditional wedding posing. We want our wedding to feel fun and romantic!"
SOLUTION AND PLANNING PROCESS
Tim and Helene started by chatting with the couple to understand their vision for the elopement. Tim took note of their preferences, such as locations envisioned, and their outfit style. After Katherine sent her vision board, Tim spent time researching and brainstorming ideas to create a memorable wedding experience that reflected the couple's style.
PARIS, THE CITY OF LOVE
Paris is known for its stunning landmarks and picturesque settings, which make it the perfect location for Katherine and Daniel's wedding. After reviewing several ceremony places, they have chosen to get married at the Eiffel Tower. This ceremony spot is called Trocadero.
RESULTS
The couple had a modern and fun wedding experience in Paris, thanks to Tim's expertise and attention to detail.
POST-PRODUCTION AND PHOTO EDITING
After taking photos on the wedding day, we moved on to the editing process to ensure that each image is picture-perfect. We first correct any color imbalances to bring out the natural beauty of the scene.
Our main goal is to select colors so that couple's skin is glowing, and hair looks healthy and radiant.
Next, we pay attention to small details such as removing unwanted objects or people from the background to keep the focus on the couple. With careful attention to every image, we also take time to clean up the bride's dress, making sure it looks flawless on her big day. It can be little rainy and dress often gets dirty, but that is totally normal. We edit that. All of these post-production techniques bring out the emotions and memories that are sure to last a lifetime with each image Tim creates.
LIKE THE RESULT?
HERE IS HOW TO GET IT...
If you liked the result and you are thinking about creating the same style, here is how to do it. Choose a location that reflects the modern and stylish vibe of the photoshoot. It could be a sleek cityscape or a beautiful gallery, or even a street with a panoramic view. Look for a location without greenery or flowers.
For a modern elopement like this one, consider a fashion-forward dress for the bride and a formal classic tux for the groom. Some ideas include:
-
For the bride: a sleek jumpsuit, a modern midi or maxi dress with bold cutouts or asymmetrical lines, or a structured blazer paired with wide-leg pants.
-
For the groom: classic black tux, very formal, perfect alterations, no added color
If you'd like to have the same look, style your elopement with a clean and modern aesthetic. For the bride, sleek hair and makeup can complement the minimalist outfit. For the groom, a clean shave or well-groomed facial hair can help create a polished look.

We express our gratitude to Katherine and Daniel for allowing us to be a part of their special day. It was an honor to work with you and witness your love story unfold. Thank you again for choosing Do it Paris way as your elopement planners and photographers.
