Helene: "Bonjour all the beautiful, adventurous, and ambitious ladies, our wonderful brides who are exploring this article. And our respect to the intelligent handsome future grooms. Hope you have a good time reading this case study. Let's begin!"

MEET GIANNA AND DANTE

Many dates, phone calls and a few months later

they were quickly best friends and in love

Meet Gianna and Dante, a happy couple from Philadelphia. Dante and Gianna met in February 2020, and life has flown by over the past three years. They find joy in walks around the city, hitting the gym to stay active, enjoying quality time with friends, and bonding over cooking delicious meals together.

Gianna and Dante made a spontaneous decision to elope to Paris.

"Because sometimes you have to simply shut the world out and do things together, just us two," shared Gianna.

It will be their first time traveling to Paris for their wedding.

WHAT OUR COUPLE WANTED

Gianna envisioned their wedding to be both classic and romantic, but with a modern twist.  With an emphasis on neutral colors such as black, white, cream, and beige.

WHAT HAPPENED: A DEVASTATING TWIST

Gianna and Dante, dreaming about their picture-perfect day in Paris, were struck by a cruel twist of fate: rain.  Despite their meticulous planning, the downpour threatened to dampen their dreams. We usually try to reschedule, but this time the rain was unexpected.

WHAT WE DID TO SAVE THE DAY

For the Do It Paris Way team the challenge was to immediately hide from the rain and drive to alternative locations. Despite the rain, we quickly adapted our plans. We went to spots with a roof for photoshoots at iconic locations like the Louvre gallery and a cozy Parisian café. Once the rain paused, we did the ceremony at the Tuileries Gardens as planned.

GIANNA'S BRIDAL LOOK

Gianna shared her dress shopping adventure: "I went dress shopping with my mom, sister, and niece, exploring various stores and enjoying the process. I was looking for a dress that is sexy."

Gianna had a makeup and hair artist included in her package. We scheduled around 1.5-2 hours for hair and makeup. Gianna also wanted a simple but modern white rose bouquet, oval shape.

Below are images illustrating the desired look our beautiful bride envisioned and what our team created:

What Gianna wanted and what we created

Gianna looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day! What a fabulous bride she is. Her choice of dress perfectly complemented her style and personality, showcasing her beauty inside and out. It was truly a joy to be a part of bringing her bridal vision to life!

WEATHER IN PARIS IN OCTOBER

In October, Paris typically experiences mild and pleasant weather, perfect for exploring the city. With temperatures averaging around 12-17°C (54-63°F). However, there is a chance of rain, so it's wise to be prepared. Despite the occasional showers, the charming atmosphere of Paris in autumn makes it a pleasant time to visit and enjoy the city's attractions.

EIFFEL TOWER STREET: WHEN THE RAIN CAUGHT US OFF GUARD

When Gianna and Dante arrived at the Eiffel Tower for their photo shoot, the rain caught us all by surprise. But instead of letting it ruin their moment, they embraced the gentle clouds, using the precious time to snap unforgettable photos with the iconic Eiffel Tower behind them. Rain was not heavy for the first 20 minutes, so we had time for a quick photoshoot:

Tim: "We aim to reschedule when rain interrupts our plans, but sometimes things don't align as we hope. Unfortunately, we can't control the weather, so we have to adapt and make the best of the situation. Here are my favorite places to drive to when it rains during our Paris photoshoots."

PLACE #1 TO HIDE FROM THE RAIN

The first place we have as a PLAN B and basically a great shelter from the rain is a charming Parisian café.

Cozy ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for intimate shots of Gianna and Dante. Amidst the vintage decor and warm lighting, their love shone brightly. Tim created photographs showing the passion between Gianna and Dante.

Details and atmosphere

We snapped some pictures on a nearby Parisian street, not far from the café. It is also under the roof, the Rivoli arches. There's a golden statue of Joan of Arc along this street, found at the Place des Pyramides.

PLACE #2 TO HIDE FROM THE RAIN

The Louvre gallery is a fantastic spot for wedding photos when it rains. It's under the roof, so you don't have to worry about getting wet. Plus, it's filled with a stunning atmosphere. Gianna and Dante explored the grand halls and majestic corridors. It's a dreamy setting.

FINAL THOUGHTS

Every bride dreams of her wedding day being perfect, and as planners, we understand how important it is to make magical moments happen, even when things don't go as planned. Gianna and Dante's wedding was truly romantic. Congratulations to this amazing couple on their beautiful journey together!

THE TEAM

The team that worked together with Dani and Adan to help them create a fashionable elopement day:

Tim.png

Tim, elopement planning and photography

"A day without any stress was my job. Dani and Adan also asked for help explaining posing for photos, which I gladly did. I worked with the couple so that they would not worry about any single detail and could enjoy the atmosphere. For wedding photoshoot, I tried to make photos look better than the Vogue magazine because our bride loves fashion. I think we did such a great job all together!"

Helene.png

Helene, communication with the couple and flowers, and putting together this article

"I worked with Dani from the beginning. I tried to do everything just the way she asked, like for example the bouquet is 100% match and exactly what she envisioned. Also, I wrote this exact article so hope you enjoyed it!"

Yana.png

Yana, bridal hair and makeup @makeupparisyana

"My goal was to do a light bridal look that enhanced Dani's natural beauty. Very light, nothing too heavy or never cakey. She is a gorgeous bride and it was such a pleasure. Loved every single minute with them."

Olga.png

Olga, ceremony Officiant and assistant during the photoshoot

"Working with Dani and Adan was an absolute joy; their love and commitment radiated throughout the ceremony, creating a truly magical atmosphere. I had a pleasure to officiate the ceremony and also helped during the photoshoot. I helped with the dress, and fixed dress, hair, makeup, flowers when needed. After the ceremony, I was their personal assistant for the shoot. The couple was absolutely astonishing, so no surprise all eyes were on them. We can surely say they were blessed by Paris."
