HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Arthur (works in finance) and Nick (medical and healthcare field) met on a dating app and have been together since December 2019. The couple got engaged one year to the day after they went on a first date. Nick proposed to Arthur while on vacation in the gulf coast of Florida.

PLANNING PROCESS

Arthur contacted us on November 21. He he wrote with a clear understanding of how he sees the organization of the wedding.

"We would pretty much like to show up the morning of the elopement, have the 2-4hr time period all planned, and be done. Right now, lets go with the week of March 28th, 2022.

Planning / coordination for just the elopement

Ceremony/officiant (We envision this being like 5mins)

Two boutonniere's

Any transportation around from venue to venue

We would love to have the ceremony some place with the tower in the background

We would then love to take some additional photos around Paris."

We were excited to begin planning their day. Arthur wanted to book immediately.

During the planning, their main question was to pick up the location of the wedding with the tower in the background. So we offered them one of our favorite locations - the Trocadero.

The planning process took 5 months. We did it by email. Arthur booked his date by sending a deposit and signing a contract.

It was so easy to work with Arthur and Nick! They had such an accurate understanding of how they see their wedding.

In the end, we decided that we planned:

  • Wedding date - March 29, 2022

  • Chosen package - the Carousel all-inclusive elopement package

  • The ceremony location they picked was the Trocadero

WEATHER IN PARIS IN MARCH

Spring is one of the most beautiful times when flowers bloom. It rarely rains in Paris in the spring and it usually doesn't last long, not more than 20-30 minutes. And it's a pretty warm rain.

If you don't have enough time to buy something special, take your jacket with you on your wedding day, just in case. You can wear this coat going from one photoshoot spot to another. And take it off for the pictures.

Arthur and Nick are lucky, they got both good weather and blooming Paris without tourists around.

TIMELINE AND LOGISTICS

Sunrise in March is around 7:00 AM.

We planned the timeline to start the day with sunrise. We always try to start at sunrise at avoid crowds and traffic.

Here is the timeline we created 2 days before the elopement:

4:40 AM - Yana arrives. Photoshoot preparations - skin, hair

6:30 AM - Pick up at the hotel Hôtel Barrière Le Fouquet's

7:00 AM - Ceremony begins

7:20 AM - Ceremony ends

Paris photoshoot begins

Transfer back to the hotel

When the couple confirmed this timeline, we coordinated it with the team.

We planned the logistics of the day. We created an individual route for Arthur and Nick to visit all these places without spending too much time in traffic. Their hotel was in the Paris 8e Arrondissement.

1. Pick up from the hotel → 2. Trocadero → 3. Jardin des Tuileries → 4. Louvre → back to the hotel

BOUTONNIÈRES

Our couple's request for boutonnieres:

"We would like 2 classic boutonnieres, we will be in traditional black/white tuxedo so nothing too fancy, probably white flowers."

And voila! Here is a final result:

For the boutonnière we always use a special clip so it's super easy to put it on and attach:

A DAY BEFORE THE WEDDING

Arthur and Nick arrived in Paris some days before the wedding. They had time to feel the atmosphere of Paris and saw our locations.

One day before the elopement, we finalized the last details, and the couple prepared their outfits.

WEDDING DAY

Their big day began at 4:40 AM. The couple woke up, ready for their elopement. Yana arrived at their hotel and started doing makeup. We always recommend doing makeup for men if you want your photos to be beautiful and without extra highlights on your face.

After makeup, a couple took everything they needed: wallets, chargers, phones, and we went to the ceremony.

CEREMONY

Arthur and Nick wanted to have a classic wedding ceremony with an Eiffel Tower view.

We created a personalized ceremony script and the couple confirmed it.

The couple arrived at the ceremony location. The weather was wonderful. It was cloudy and just perfect for photos.

PARIS PORTRAIT PHOTOSESSION

In the package: 3 Paris locations included in the all-inclusive package

Expectations: Arthur and Nick said that they wanted photos of blooming Paris.

We offered: a list of locations from our collection of the best places

Final choice: Arthur and Nick picked Tuileries Gardens, Louvre Gallery, Louvre Pyramids and door

1. Tuileries Gardens. Tuileries was once owned by a nine-year old kid. As young ones would do, the young boy turned the garden into a personal playground and used it for hunting, keeping the animals he captured.

2. Louvre Gallery. It is impossible, as a human being, to see the entire Louvre museum in just one day. In fact, even a month of exploring this space wouldn’t be enough. If you were to spend 30 seconds on each piece of art in the Louvre, it would take 100 consecutive days to get through them all. That is without sleep.

3. Louvre pyramids and door. Surprisingly, it was not a French architect who was selected for the job, but rather a Chinese man named I.M. Pei. The main pyramid has become an important and recognizable part of the Parisian skyline.
